Spring Concert and Awards Night

On Thursday, May 18th, the Veterans Park Band Program, under the direction of Ms. Nicole Sousa, Veterans Park Band Director, performed their final concert of the year in the Ludlow High School auditorium, to rave reviews.  Sousa also proudly recognized the recipients of the 2017 Band PRIDE and Most Valuable Musician Awards.  

Sousa shared that the 4th Grade band members performed four songs: Serenity and Skill Builder by Tradition of Excellence, Michael Finnegan- Traditional Folk Song and Power Rock by Michael Sweeney.  

The 5th grade band members also performed four songs: Midnight Madness by Brian Balmages, Broken Marionette by Brian Balmages, Inception by Joseph Compello and Heroes and Glory by James Swearingen. The 5th grade band used this performance as practice for their upcoming competition at Music in the Park Festival at Six Flags New England.
