On Thursday evening, December 1st, the sounds of holiday songs filled the Ludlow High School auditorium as the Veterans Park Music Department presented their annual winter concert. The audience was treated to an array of festive holiday songs performed by the Veterans Park chorus along with the fourth and fifth grade bands, all under the direction of Veterans Park music teacher, Ms. Nicole Sousa.

Ms. Sousa dedicated the concert to the supportive parents, family and friends of these amazing budding musicians. “Learning to play an instrument isn’t easy, for both the player and those he or she lives with,” shared Sousa. “Encouragement and support are very important in those first few months. So we’d like to dedicate this holiday concert to you, with our appreciation and thanks.”

Sousa also wanted to extend many thanks to the Veterans Park Community for all of their support, with a special thank you to Veterans Park Principal, Mrs. Melissa Knowles, for being a champion of the arts in education.

Below the collage of submitted photos is a list of the songs that were performed during the concert along with the names of those students who participated in the concert.
